Dr. Goertz was awarded the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) from the Oregon Health Sciences University in 1976. Since graduation, Dr. Goertz has been active in study clubs at the dental school in oral surgery, periodontics and endodontics.
A member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Goertz was awarded the title of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. This honor, bestowed in 1990, is held by less than 10% of the area dentists and was given in recognition of the professional achievements Dr. Goertz has realized. In 2001 Dr. Goertz earned the designation "Master" of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) which included a rigorous set of requirements involving all the dental disciplines. Dr. Goertz is a active member of the Clackamas County Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
As a father of three adult sons, Dr. Goertz has a special awareness of the feelings children bring to their family dentist.
